Lebanon Baptist Church Community Outreach Mission dis·ci·ple Pronunciation: di-'sI-p&l Function: noun As disciples we are committed to the great commission made to us by Jesus Christ in NIV Matthew 28:18-20 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Mission Statement: Prayerfully, we will go out and meet with people in our area, invite them to visit and worship at our church, and welcome the opportunity to talk with anyone about Jesus. Our goal being to expose people to the word of God, and to show them how having Jesus in their lives can bring them a joy and peace they’ve never experienced before. Having done this, we will pray that if it be God’s will, many will become convicted, and receive Jesus into their hearts.
